Changes are afoot

I’ve been working on moving the website for Columbia River Sewing, the Portland chapter of the American Sewing Guild into WordPress.  And I thought maybe it was time to update TheHudsons.  So instead of working on gifty things for upcoming birthdays and the ultimate gifty day in December, I’ve been geeking it at the computer.  As you read this you are seeing the beginning of a new TheHudsons.

The biggest impetus was the database of old photos I’d posted that spontaneously broke.  So the first thing to do was set up galleries and albums of things I’ve made, family and friends, people I’ve worked with and, of course, dogs.

Now I started TheHudsons.com in 1995, so it’s gone through some changes and as time has progressed, so has my programming style, which is not a bad thing.  But it means that with over a thousands of pages (really!) moving all of them to the new site would be a huge time sink.  And while I do plan to move some of the pictures into albums, it will take time.  So for the time being, check out Vintage TheHudsons for links to earlier pictures and the words that go along with it.
