Scotland 2007 Islay - Distilleries, Dogs and Seals

On our last day, we headed to Persabus Pottery where arrived too early, so we headed on to Bunnahabhain Distillery, where we were also too early for a tour and tasting. So we took a few pictures and headed back to Persabus Pottery, where we had a nice chat with Donald and Rosemary Fletcher

We’d visited the Islay Woollen Mill, where we chatted with Gordon and heard about Peanut, whom we’d met as a wee puppy in 2003. We met the grown up Peanut and “Tam the bigger white lurcher,” Gordon’s description, when asked his name.

Next we headed to the southern tip of Islay to see the seals at Portnahaven.

Our last stop before returning to Bridgend Hotel to prepare for our flight back to Glasgow and ultimately to Chicago then Portland, was Bowmore, where we took the tour and Tom had a little whisky.
