Tom and Patty’s first European vacation was in April 1992 to England, France and Scotland. It was a whirlwind tour because who knew when we’d return? London, Inverness, Edinburgh, Caen, Rennes, Bordeaux and back to London to fly home to San Jose. Truly a trip of planes, trains (including a sleeper and TGV) and automobiles.
But we did return—to visit with friends near London, then Edinburgh and Islay. We saw more of Scotland and tasted a few more whiskies (well Tom did).
