A new distillery has opened up on Islay – Kilchoman, where we took a wrong turn on the way to the visitor centre. We were greeted by two guard dogs
In 2005, Tom spent a week working at Bruichladdich Distillery on Islay. We returned to the island to visit with some old friends like Mary and Duncan.
As luck would have it distillery master and mentor, Jim McEwan was around and had some time to spend with us. We spent a lovely morning with Jim as he showed us the changes at Bruichladdich and took us to the Port Charlotte Distillery, which they plan to reopen in 2007.
