In addition to distilleries, Islay is known for the nature reserves, including the Oa Peninsula. We followed the circular walk. Where we enjoyed the scenic views and a few livestock.
The American Monument was erected on the Oa Peninsula by the Red Cross to honor American soldiers killed in 1918 off the shores of Islay.
