Next was good to visit the very much less frenzied (and crowded) Islay.
In 2005, Tom spent a week at The Academy at Bruichladdich distillery on the island of Islay, working and learning all about the whiskies, the industry, and, most notably, the process of making whisky. We’ve gone back a time or two since to spend time with the wonderful people there.
