January 1 – On Patty and Tom’s first New Year’s Day in Oregon, a few friends and family came by for brunch, including the Limons—Joe, Renée, Maddie and Mirabelle.
February 5 – Patty has known Mark for over 30 years and he finally found the love of his life in Kathleen. Tom and Patty met Kathleen for the first at brunch in Seattle, before seeing pre-Broadway showing of The Wedding Singer at the 5th Avenue Theater.
March 25 – Tom first attended the Whiskies of the World Expo in San Francisco in 2001 and took Patty along for company. He liked it so much they went back for the next four years. In 2006, it was a little different because they are “out-of-towners” so visits with some friends had to be planned, including Maria Robinson who drove into San Francisco for lunch. Of course the visit was too short.
April 3 – Patty met Michelle Cristiani through a PDX Knitters mail list before either had moved to the Portland area. Since the first meeting in May 2005 at a local knit café, they’ve met at different yarn shops and at each others’ homes. This meetup was with baby Robert at Patty’s house in West Linn, where Mandy got to do what she loves: licking babies. And Robert—being a baby—licked her right back.
